Have a Screamingly Good Halloween Week

Halloween-Themed Skywatching Guide

Popular astronomy publication Sky & Telescope published a special skywatching guide tailored for Halloween week. The guide outlines thematic targets and celestial sights for backyard observers to track during both day and night.

The Scream Nebula and Daytime Observing

Heading the observation list is the Scream Nebula, famous for its eerie visual structure. Additionally, the guide features practical tips and techniques for amateur astronomers looking to spot bright planets during daylight hours.

Promoting Amateur Astronomy

Thematic observing challenges serve as an effective way to raise public interest in astronomy and encourage skywatching. Weather permitting, amateur observers can track these seasonal targets using small telescopes or binoculars throughout the week.
