A Next-Generation Satellite Powered by Artificial Intelligence
Türkiye continues to integrate advanced capabilities into its national space technology endeavors. The domestically engineered GEZGİN-1 microsatellite is being prepared for orbit equipped with high-resolution imaging instruments and artificial intelligence-assisted data processing skills.
Technical Specifications and In-Orbit Analysis
Targeted to weigh under 75 kilograms, the microsatellite platform will host advanced optical sensors. The most prominent feature of the satellite is its capability to analyze high-resolution imagery directly in orbit using onboard AI algorithms before transmitting data back to ground stations.
Advancing Space-Based Technological Independence
With engineering activities currently ongoing, the satellite is scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of 2028. GEZGİN-1 is expected to make direct contributions to Türkiye's technological self-reliance in orbital AI systems and microsatellite architecture.
