Can We Distinguish the Source Region Location of Filament/Prominence Eruptions from the Sun-as-a-Star Hα Spectrum?
Eruptions taking place in different locations on the Sun (e.g., on the solar limb versus on the disk) appear to have different spectral characteristics, paving a way for source regions of stellar flares to be studied.
