With five spacecraft now docked at the ISS following Dragon's arrival, the Expedition 75 crew has begun unloading cargo and activating new science payloads.

Busy Orbital Traffic at the Space Station

Following the Thursday arrival of a cargo-laden SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, the International Space Station is currently hosting five docked visiting vehicles. The Expedition 75 crew members quickly commenced integrated operations to integrate the new logistics vehicle into the orbiting laboratory's active schedule.

Unloading Payloads and Activating Hardware

The crew opened the hatches to transfer vital resupply items, scientific hardware, and experimental samples into the station's pressurized modules. Crew members immediately started setting up and activating new research payloads, designed to study biological and physical processes under microgravity conditions.

Scientific Impacts for Earth and Deep Space

The research enabled by Dragon's delivery aims to benefit life on Earth while informing protocols for human endurance on prolonged spaceflight missions. Findings gathered from these operational runs will support life sciences and technology development required for future exploration architectures.
